Set in Iowa, it tells the story of a day in the life of a woman named Martha Hale. However, it is not just any day, as on that particular day, Mrs. Hale accompanies her husband and the sheriff to investigate the home of Minnie Wright, a woman accused of murdering her cruel husband. Where men only see “insignificant” objects and details, the protagonists see clues that have gone unnoticed by them and that will make them solve the motive and cause of the “urder. “Contemplation” was the first compilation of texts that Franz Kafka published. It’s a collection of eighteen stories, most of them very short, closer to notes or even prose poems than to conventional narrative.
